Turucucho and the milk community
Our recent trip to Ecuador in February saw us visit a small village called Turucucho, a local community in the foothills of the Cayambe Volcano.
Apart from the breathtaking views of Cayambe, we were privileged to meet the local farmers and their families.
They work closely with Republica del cacao who help them to produce higher quality grass, a key contributor to the quality of the milk they harvest from their cows. Republica del cacao ensures they pay these farmers a fair amount for their milk creating more jobs and a better lifestyle for those families within the community.
I’ve never met so many happy and fulfilled people like the Turucucho community, they live in harmony and peace with each other. It’s an amazing privilege to be supporting those local farmers and their families, and even better to try some of their freshly harvested milk!
